Village of Hope Uganda
Village of Hope Uganda, (VOH), provides safe homes, clothing, food, education, trauma counseling, medical care and most importantly Christian-based spiritual guidance for former child soldiers and children orphaned through the effects of war and poverty in Northern Uganda, Africa. By the transforming work of Jesus, VOH orphans will grow into self-sustaining, Godly ethical leaders in their communities and country.
VOH has had many students that have graduated from trade schools and the University. Village of Hope Uganda supports two villages (Bobi Village and Bweyale Village) with over 750 orphans. There are over 100 Ugandan staff members that help care for the children by seeing that each of their needs are met.
VOH also supports women with small children that live in the area by teaching them to make handmade beads, jewelry, baskets, hand sewn items and other beautiful crafts.
