After graduating from the University of Arkansas, Terry was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. In 2004, he retired from fulltime service on the church staff and was soon chosen as a trustee of Crossgate. Upon adoption of the Crossgate Church Charter in 2010, which included the establishment of plural leadership by elders, he was among the first to be nominated and affirmed by the church. He also ministers to the Crossgate family as a life group leader and Bible teacher, a D-group leader, a member of the Men’s Ministry, and a Prayer Partner Network team leader.

Terry likes to write and has written three books including a novel. He also maintains a personal website with a weekly blog post.
